Is it normal to have a mucus-like discharge while in the 6th month of pregnancy?

Today I noticed a mucus-like discharge. It wasn't much and has not continued but I remember the consistency of the plug dropping with my first child and it was kind of like that? However, that was almost 10 years ago and I can't remember every detail of my pregnancy. Should I be concerned enough to go see my doctor early? I have a doctor's appointment in a little over a week.
