For chocolate dipped strawberries, can you use a normal chocolate sauce?

The chocolate sauce you are describing will not stick to the strawberries, the best thing is to buy a block of chocolate (just cooking chocolate if you can't afford normal) melt it in a dish over a pan of hot water (don't let the dish bottom touch the water) when melted dip each strawberry in and let it set.
